A creative space for artists, makers and printmakers. Devonport Guildhall in Plymouth is home to artists' studios, print facilities, a year-round creative programme, artist residencies and Print in Action festival. We are interested in building community, creative practice development and creative intersection opportunities in collaboration with Market Hall's digital technologies.

Print Studios
A dedicated Print Studio providing access to specialist print facilities for artists and printmakers at all stages of their creative practice.
The Print Studio is equipped to support a range of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques including Relief, Intaglio, Letterpress and Screen printing.

Opportunities
Devonport Guildhall is at the heart of a thriving creative community, offering dynamic spaces for exhibitions, collaborative projects, and public events. Located within the historic Guildhall and the innovative Market Hall, these spaces host a diverse programme of artist-led exhibitions, printmaking showcases, and interdisciplinary collaborations. From solo shows to group exhibitions, workshops to community events, the spaces provide a platform for emerging and established artists to connect, create, and share their work with wider audiences.

Residencies
Our residency programme supports artists seeking opportunities to develop creatively, explore new directions and make connections.
We offer space, mentoring, access to facilities and professional support as well as opportunities to showcase work at larger events. Based in Devonport Guildhall and the Market Hall, residencies are designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and community engagement.
With new facilities and expanded partnerships, we’re planning more residencies for 2025/26Applications for the next residency will be announced soon.

How do I find Devonport Guildhall, and where can I park?
You'll find us at Ker Street, Devonport, Plymouth, PL1 4EL. Nearby car parks include Mutton Cove, Granby Way, Brickfields, and limited on-street parking on Ker Street. We have a very small space for bike storage within the building under the main floor stairwell.
What’s new at the Devonport Guildhall?
Over the last few months, we’ve been busy re-imagining the Devonport guildhall as a new, creative space supporting the relocation of Ocean Studios. Our team have been working to continue the momentum created over the last 9 years in Royal William Yard, making sure we have a studio provision for creatives in Plymouth and the development of our Print facilities.
Is the venue accessible?
Guildhall is accessible via the back of the building entrance – with lift access to upper floors as well as accessible toilets.
Is the Devonport Guildhall open to the public?
We’re currently working on the relocation of Ocean Studios to Devonport Guildhall, welcoming creative community to the new space and preparing for new programme and opportunities – watch this space!
