Join us at Liskeard Library for a special evening with author Lorna Marlow, who will be discussing her debut novel, Finding Home.
Lorna has always wanted to write. For years, her office was filled with box files bursting with half-finished stories, but life and a busy teaching career often got in the way. In 2022, she took the leap, leaving teaching behind to focus on writing full-time. Since then, she has never looked back.
Released in August 2025, Finding Home is the first of what promises to be an exciting series of novels. Her second book has already been completed and submitted to publishers, with a third currently underway.
Although a Northamptonshire girl living far from the coast, Lorna sets her stories against the spectacular backdrop of Cornwall. Through her imagination, she visits dramatic clifftops, bustling harbours and rock-strewn shores every day, bringing the beauty and atmosphere of the Cornish coastline vividly to life on the page.
During the evening, Lorna will talk about her writing journey, the inspiration behind Finding Home, and the process of bringing her characters and settings to life. There will also be an opportunity for audience questions.
