The Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferries provide a vital transport link for the South West, connecting communities and underpinning the regional economy. With most income derived from tolls, the Joint Committee wanted to explore new revenue and impact opportunities.
Our role
We were commissioned to review existing income streams and identify innovative ways to enhance both financial and social value.
What we delivered
- Review of assets, spaces, and services to identify untapped potential
- Recommendations informed by social enterprise models
- Options to generate new income while delivering social and environmental benefits
Impact
The review has opened pathways to a more sustainable future for this £16m per annum service. Findings will be published in autumn 2025, with further projects planned.
