Kidz R Us is an award-winning children’s theatre company in St Ives, Cornwall. After securing investment for theatre refurbishment through the Town Fund, the charity sought support to ensure a sustainable and impactful future.

Our role

We were asked to develop a business plan and investment strategy, working with stakeholders to shape a clear direction.

What we delivered

• Stakeholder engagement and impact analysis, including with young people
• An impact framework and monitoring approach
• A full business plan covering operations, staffing, and delivery
• Five-year budget for the theatre and new café
• A funding strategy exploring diverse income streams

Impact

Our work, completed in April 2023, provided the foundation for the theatre’s refurbishment (due for completion in 2024) and the appointment of an Assistant Theatre Manager, strengthening long-term operations.‍
