Introduction
Forest Rising gave 22 young people a platform to shape the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest, ensuring youth voices influence local nature recovery.

Our role
Over nine months, we created opportunities for young people to design woodland habitats, engage with environmental leaders, and contribute directly to decision-making.

What we delivered

• Youth-designed woodland activity plans
• Skills development opportunities and mentoring
• Establishment of a youth leadership community

Impact
The programme concluded in 2023 with a commitment to create a Community Forest Youth Board and a pipeline of youth-led projects. Forest Rising remains embedded in the Community Forest partnership.
