Community Power Development Grant

Working with the Devonport Creative Quarter, our role centres on deepening direct engagement with residents and key stakeholders as we collectively co-design the Creative Quarter

Introduction

We are delighted to have been selected from over 650 applicants as one of 18 organisations nationally to be part of the NationalLottery Community Fund’s Community Power Development Grant programme – aprecursor learning programme to inform the roll-out of the national fund from Autumn 2026.

Our Role

Working with the Devonport Creative Quarter, our role centres on deepening direct engagement with residents and key stakeholders as we collectively co-design the Creative Quarter and a new community land trust. In a changing Devonport, we aim to ensure change creates real economic, structural and cultural benefit for our community, embedding community voice, agency and power and building a better neighbourhood for the future.

What we’re delivering

Working with existing partners, including over 60 residents, as well as local workers and creatives and a set of institutional partners, we are moving towards a shared vision and core structure. At the same time, we are navigating approaches to bringing people’s lived experience meaning fully together with the workings of institutions and programmes – unorganising community organising.

With a crystallising shared vision and founding partners, wewill have a draft set of articles for the new CLT and a forward plan by the end of the year.
