Community Services

Real Ideas and the organisations we partner with offer a range of services from Liskeard Library.

Rhyme Time

Our weekly sing along nursery rhyme and story time for families with pre-school aged children runs all year round on a Thursday morning from 10.30-11.00am. This is free and does not require booking.

Computer Access

As well as the free public access computer provided by Cornwall Council, we have laptops provided by the Cornwall Council device loan scheme which enable you to come and use any of the tables in our cafe and workspace to browse or work online. Just pop in and ask one of our staff to borrow a laptop. You do not need to be member of the library to do this.

Printing

You are able to print from the Cornwall Council computer using your library card, but we also offer printing (from your own device), photocopying and scanning. We have instructions on how to do this and many people now come in and print what they need without requiring any support. We will always help you if you get stuck but customers tell us they love being able to pop in and print whenever they like. Printing, photocopying and scanning is charged at 20p per sheet. We will always reserve the right give away free printing if you need to print a vital form relating to your health and wellbeing. Please accept these gifts when they happen and be kind to the next person you see.

Digital Support (Monday 10-12am and Thursday 1-3pm)

Thanks to some philanthropic funding and support from volunteers, we can provide support for members of the public with their digital needs. Whether this is trying to set up a smart phone or trying to upload a blue badge to a parking website or pay a gas bill, we are here to help you solve your digital challenges whatever they are and help you navigate the online world. Just pop in and ask for some help during these times.
