Voyage Under the Surface brings University of Plymouth researchers to Liskeard Library for a free, hands-on exploration of food security and the hidden science beneath our feet.
The CRISPS* team work across food systems, soil health and sustainable agriculture. Their research explores how soil, water, nutrients, climate, biological processes and human management all connect to shape what ends up on our plates.
At this drop-in event you can get hands on with real soil samples, make choices on an interactive activity board and explore how every decision within a food system has consequences somewhere else. There are no right or wrong answers — just conversations with researchers about the science behind the food we eat.
The event is designed for all ages and all levels of knowledge. Whether you are eight or eighty, a farmer, a teacher or just curious, there is something here for you.
Drop in any time between 10am and 1pm. No booking needed.

You can request a refund up to 24 hours before the event. You will need to do this via the Ticket Tailor website.
