British Tapestry Group 20th Anniversary Exhibition opens next in Devonport!
69 artists, 9 countries and over 90 separate tapestries on show – what a celebration of tapestry weaving this exhibition is! We are delighted to welcome a wonderful variety of artists to show their work in the British Tapestry Group’s 20th anniversary exhibition, following the theme Picking up the Thread: The Past, Present and Future of Tapestry.
The Market Hall in Devonport is the latest venue for this exhibition which was launched in Dumfries in southern Scotland in summer 2025, and then showed at the Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh.
The exhibition opens at The Market Hall on Monday 2nd March and will run until Wednesday 18th March. There will be a Meet the Makers event from 1 – 3pm on Saturday 7th March, open to anyone who is interested to find out more about the tapestries and meet some of the weavers whose work is included in the exhibition.
This event is free entry so no need to book! Visit us anytime in these dates between 10am - 4pm.
