Alongside Our Story with David Attenborough, we're delighted to welcome Art and Energy to Market Hall for a day of free, creative activities exploring the journey of water from Dartmoor to Plymouth.
Through their new project, Our Land Flows... from Peat to Pipe, visitors can discover where the water from their taps comes from, exploring the peatlands of Dartmoor's high moors and the historic leats that have transported water to Plymouth for centuries.
Information displays will be available from 12 noon, offering fascinating insight into the landscapes, history and engineering behind Plymouth's water supply.
Free Interactive Workshops
Book a place on one of three hands-on sessions:
- 12pm – 1pm
- 1pm – 2pm
- 2pm – 3pm
Activities include:
- Exploring mosses with magnifiers
- Drawing and creative activities
- Water experiments and investigations
- Maps and local heritage
- Nature-inspired discovery for all ages
The workshops are free to attend and suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a great opportunity to complement your visit to Our Story with David Attenborough and explore another fascinating story about our relationship with the natural world.
