More Info:

Take your cyanotype practice further in this immersive 3-hour workshop designed for those who have already completed our introductory Cyanotype Workshop.

Building on the foundations of the historic sun-printing process, this advanced session explores more experimental techniques, layered compositions and alternative approaches to image-making. You'll deepen your understanding of the cyanotype process while pushing the medium in new and exciting directions.

Working with a range of materials and techniques, you'll explore how to create richer, more complex prints through layering, masking, wet cyanotype processes, toning, and chemical interventions. Along the way, you'll continue to experiment with substances such as vinegar, salt, turmeric and paprika, discovering how they can transform colour, texture and atmosphere within your work.

Leave with a unique collection of advanced cyanotype prints, a deeper understanding of the process, and plenty of inspiration for future projects.

Facilitator

Beth Munro lives in SE Cornwall. She uses a diverse range of printing processes to reflect her love of the sea and what lies beneath, developing hybrid monotypes using both man-made and organic materials found on her local beach. The act of printing becomes a conversation between the physical process, the reveal and creative response. Beth enjoys collaborating with marine scientists, digital technology specialists and fellow creatives to explore our ability to make meaningful connections with the ocean.

Explore deeper. Experiment further. Discover new possibilities with cyanotype. ☀️💙🎨
