Monoprint Magic: Create Art from Everyday Objects

02 May 2026
14:30

Description:

A fun, hands-on printmaking workshop for all ages!

Ready to turn ordinary objects into extraordinary art? Join us at Native Makers for Monoprint Magic, a playful printmaking workshop where creativity takes centre stage.

In this 45-minute family-friendly session, artist Suzanne Drummond (with helper Ruby Bradshaw) will guide you through the exciting process of monoprinting using everyday found objects. You’ll ink up acrylic plates, arrange textured materials, and run them through a flatbed press to reveal beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.

The real magic happens when you pull a second “ghost print” from the remaining ink—creating an unexpected extra layer of texture and surprise!

Why you’ll love it:

  • Perfect for families, beginners, and curious creatives
  • Discover how simple everyday objects can spark amazing artwork
  • A relaxed, playful way to awaken creativity at any age
  • All materials provided – just bring your imagination
  • Take home your own original monoprint

Because the workshop uses familiar objects and simple techniques, it’s accessible for everyone, whether you’ve never made art before or you love getting creative together as a family.
