No experience needed. Just bring your ideas and enthusiasm—everything else is provided.

This workshop runs for 3 hours, with two dates available:

Price

This workshop is £40 (+ booking fee)
Price includes one tote bag or tea towel per participant.
Additional items can be purchased on the day if desired.

What to expect

During this playful, beginner‑friendly session, you will:

  • Learn the foundations of screen printing on fabric using paper stencils
  • Create a quick sample print to get comfortable with the process
  • Design and cut your own stencil using scissors and/or a scalpel
  • Explore studio books, references, and visual materials for inspiration
  • Choose from a wide range of ready‑mixed inks
  • Print your unique design onto a tote bag or tea towel
  • Experiment freely and enjoy the creative process

By the end, you’ll walk away with a custom‑printed piece made entirely by you—cut it, print it, experiment, and enjoy getting a little inky!

Facilitator

Suzanne Drummond is a printmaker and textile artist based in Plymouth. Since moving to the city in 2017, she has completed both a BA (Hons) and an MA in Fine Art Printmaking at Arts University Plymouth.

Grounded in traditional silkscreen methods, Suzanne specialises in creating repeat patterns and translating them into fabric through hand‑pulled screen prints. Her work connects printmaking, pattern design, and textiles in a practical and intuitive way.
