Introduction
Devonport High School for Boys welcomed its new Year 7 intake with an inspiring day of activity at Market Hall. This annual event is designed to spark curiosity and creativity while supporting the school’s induction process. Pupils explored cutting-edge technology and immersive experiences that set the tone for their educational journey.
Our Role
We partnered with the school to deliver a dynamic programme that blends innovation with hands-on learning. Our goal was to provide enrichment activities that align with the creative aspirations at the heart of our work, while helping students feel engaged and connected from day one.
What we delivered
The day featured:
- 360° Immersive Dome Experience – Pupils enjoyed a variety of captivating content in a fully immersive environment.
- Tech-Focused Taster Workshops:
- 360° Filmmaking: Students learned how to capture and create panoramic visual stories.
- LEGO Robotics: A hands-on session combining creativity, engineering, and problem-solving.
This project, now in its second year, continues to evolve as a cornerstone of the school’s induction programme.
Impact
The event provided:
- A memorable introduction to innovative technologies.
- Opportunities for teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
- A boost to students’ confidence and excitement about learning. By integrating enrichment activities into the induction process, we helped foster a sense of community and inspired pupils to think beyond the classroom.
