RIO is currently looking to recruit schools to trial its brand new Social Enterprise Qualification which is set to launch this February.
The qualification, which aims to reward the natural social enterprise skills and energy of young people with accreditation that inspires and recognises their acheivement, is looking for schools to run the pilot material and feed into the social enterprise qualification's development.
Once the pilot phase is complete and formal accreditation is in place, the qualification will be offered at three levels, bronze, silver and gold, linked to Levels 1, 2 and 3 on the National Qualifications Framework.
To achieve the social enterprise qualification, young people will demonstrate they understand what social enterprise and ethical trading are about, and will practically develop new products or services within their school, community or a wider marketplace.
