Plymouth’s Young City Laureate 2022-23

The call out to find Plymouth’s next Young City Laureate for 2022-23 has now gone live. This year, Literature Works has teamed up with Plymouth Culture, Plymouth City Council and With Flying Colours to find a young person to take on the role from September of this year.

The Plymouth Young City Laureate is an important role. The chosen young writer will be commissioned to create work to celebrate special events or occasions in the city as well as being invited to perform in libraries, schools and at festivals. This year Literature Works will be commissioning the successful young writer three times and you’ll be paid £50 per commission. They will ask you to perform at least two events across the year alongside invited writers.

The deadline is 17th July 2022. Find our more on the Literature Works website here.
